Is There a Proxy Only Workflow for Proxies?

i can see a lot of applications for it. i don't know if getting the footage earlier really necessarily helps, but i know that in a commercial context, it's definitely helpful when the client can be remote and observing what's happening without having to be onset. There are some hardware solutions that can do this live. If you buy one of those beautiful black magic boxes, which range from like 300 dollars up to 20 thousand,  those are automatically generating the proxies and managing everything for you. But you can also do it manually. So you could just import everything and then click the button and send it to somebody. Once all the footage is in there, I think up to ten editors
