Reforming the Electoral College

Every time the president is elected by the electoral college, but doesn't get a majority of the popular vote, the topic of reforming the electoral college comes up. Republicans have come increasingly to resist and oppose the idea of a twitching over to a popular vote. The math means one candidate could be narrowly winning a whole bunch of states and get all those electro collise votes, while the other one runs huge lop sided victories like clinton did in california.
