Outlining for TV and Movies?

T v stresses outline very heavily, but is it as important for you in features? T v really did't teach me the outlining journey. I think when i first started writing, because was an actor, i almost probably wrote dialogue first. So my approach to outlining now is very much like, give myself a map, know where i'm going and then also give myself permission to throw out that map as i'm writing.
