Control of the Endocrine System
Hormones transmit signals across different parts of the body through being released by cells that they produce. They then travel some distance in the bloodstream where they're released and have an effect on their target cells. The major glands in the endocrine system would probably be the thyroid and parathyroid glands. And then at the very bottom are the target tissues or organs like the reproductive system or just general tissues in the case of growth hormone.
