Indian history is full of these cycles in which you have political unity under a single empire and then the empire eventually dissolves. When you have little kingdoms, they are all competing against each other. And that is what we call lack of unity. So instead of working together or having a single leadership, they are going to be disunited. That is when it is easy for outsiders to come in and do whatever they do. We can never allow this to happen again. For that, we need political unity. Even today, India is disunited. Even today Indians are fighting each other.
