Popper was persuaded by the Polish logician Alfred Tarski that through the use of a linguistic device that Tarski called meta languages, which enabled the statements of meta theories. And he's I think trying to make it rigorous, logically rigorous, like make it make sense to say that we have statements that can be objectively true or false. That is like as far as I understand a classic rationalist project that I sort of took for granted until Jake started to criticize it. But I don't think they spoil critical rationalism as an epistemology because Jake makes ace and I feel kind of bad like criticizing Jake explicitly when he's not here to argue against me.
