The Nazis and Hess
Foreign Minister Riemontrop has private concerns about Barbarossa. Admiral Ryder, who also opposed Operation C-line, does not think it's a good idea. And there is another significant objector, Rudolf Hess. We've not heard much from Hess of late. During the rise of the Nazis, he was the führer's right-hand man. These days, Hess is more of a squad player, warming the bench of Team Hitler. He grew up in British-controlled Egypt and doesn't regard them as a natural enemy.
