The FBI thought Hollywood communists were brainwashing the American public by sneaking pro-communist propaganda into movies. Reagan was a vice president of the Screen Actors Guild, and the FBI came knocking. The FBI offered him a chance to enlist in the world's next great conflict, the war against the communists. He says he wasn't interested in what he called red baiting.
