The Prosecution of Adulterated Drugs in India

In 1988, 14 patients died at JJ Hospital in Bombay because of adulterated cough syrup. The prosecution was not over until last year - more than 34 years later. In Jammu, which took place in December 2019, January 2020, where 12 children died in Ramnagar district,. About two years later, we discovered that the police had finally filed a prosecution under IPC. So, yes, some of these cases are prosecuted, but we really haven't seen any stiff sentences being handed out by the courts.
