The Importance of Knowing God
In Exodus 34, six through seven, God describes himself to Moses as merciful and gracious. But then he tacks on a reminder at the end that says "I do still punish sin" How you view God is entirely based on whether you know him or not. In Nahum 1, 2 through 3, where Nahum is talking to the enemies of God about who God is, he reverses the order.
