The Importance of Diversity in Farming

A lot of folks I think in this community do use a lot of compost inputs and one of the things that my passion is cover crops. Do you think it's important to be giving them external inputs like compost or can you achieve that just by growing a diverse array of crops and cover crops? Yeah, that's a good question. I mean I think if you are if you're managing cover crops in a way that they're adding organic matter to the soil that's definitely creating a really rich and diverse environment. The cover crops themselves are going to be releasing all sorts of different compounds while they're alive that recruit a lot of things to the root zone.
