The Effect of Weight Training on Endurance Performance

We've known for a long time that speed athletes need weight training. We now know through a lot of research primarily from a guy called Ronestad in Scandinavia that weight training leads to improvements in endurance performance. In older cyclists we get an improvement in speed and maintenance of endurance by dropping into of their road cycling training sessions and having it as resistance training sessions. They can maintain their endurance and improve their speed. The science still has to be done, right? Exactly right, Brad.
