The Phillies have ramped up their spending and of course, so they're coming off winning a pennant. But is this Middleton's mindset going back a bit? Or is it the David Dombrowski effect of convincing owners to loosen the purse strings? I feel like you have the perfect marriage of an owner and baseball operations head in Middleton, Dombrowksi. And it has just created this, this thing. The Phillies are going to be going to be spending like this for the foreseeable future.
