The Rise and Fall of the Stereophonic Orchestra

The abandonment of what is acoustically possible I think has been one of the great creative liberating forces. Even even if the traditional orchestra still has this immense like appeal and charm you know it's not like it's invalidated but yeah exactly. We as composers often sit sound in the room in the studio and you're like oh it's cool or something like that but it's funny enough you put a dummy head in and then you listen to the recordingyou're like wow I've got either a ton of flute one like sitting right by my right ear and like that sounds like a lot of stuff.
