The Bird's Myth
Crosbie loved hay joe, which he believed was another of valentes songs. He tried to get it on the first two birds albums, but had been turned down. Their manager and uncredited cope producer, jim dixon, who had strong opinions about it. The album ended up with only 11 songs on it, compared to the 12 that was ma for american albums at that time. And the singles on it, after eight miles high, weren't particularly promising as to the group's ability to come up with commercial material.
