We live in an increasingly tyrannical society, which is its Hobbesian construction of social reality. Effective reactions to this tyranny cannot be to merely resurrect old manifestations of Hobbesianism and turn them against current versions. Divine right or other forms of theocratic absolutism gain us nothing in our conflict with liberalism; they are just another round of the same old game. So that's the idea. If you want it, read it.
