Grace in Common

CHAPTER

Scottish Nationalism

Christian nationalism is doubly problematic because it seeks to promote the idea of a Christian nation through improper constitutional legal terms. So as the Scotsman in the top corner here on your screen, I ask if we can apply a neo-Calvinist political theory within the UK. Would Scottish Presbyterians who generally hold to an establishment principle would require them to give that up? Could those things be reconciled or for example in England where you have an established church but also a well developed form of pluralism and religious freedom and so on. Hopefully can the neo- Calvinist version be realized or how meaningfully without giving up on establishment?
