The Cinema and the War Machine

Gantz's definition of the cinema was close to that of war machine with its fatal autonomy, magical spellbinding. That strain sensation of four dimensional omnipresence canceling time and space. The gun representing the propulsive force behind the bullet is what's scary. We're afraid of the gun not the quote unquote bullet per se. So there's kind of an interesting relationship to light but also something like the way that it takes light from the sun eight minutes to reach us on the earth.
