Al, it's interesting, you know, i almost had the opposite experience, where i m to freud first, and it was because i didn't encounter either one until college. I think you and i went to college around the same time, in the nineties, and they were everywhere. You couldn't take a literature course without freud either being discussed or at the centre of it. And dbokov was what everybody was reading in their spare time. Even if you didn't have im assigned, that'd be what everyone wanted to read on the week ends and everything. It sounds like when you got to froid then you found there was more to it than what you had
