The Effects of BCG on Mortality in a Pandemic

The mortality in countries with high infectious pressure has been decreased by 50% in various studies by BCG vaccination, but it's not the only one. The vaccines that can induce these type of effects are the measles containing vaccines such as MMR and oral polio vaccine. There is another very well done, very large study done with the vaccine against shingles, shingrics for example, which reduced by 20 or 25% the hospitalizations with COVID-19. So using these approaches to have the possibility to create a bridge vaccination until we are able to develop a new vaccine could be very available I think in the future.
