'If I go against the grain with Buddhist teachings and that I act from a place of unskilledfulness, then I just become miserable,' she says. 'That's something I learned even on my first retreat because it was such a positive 10 days those first retreats have siftered.' She adds: 'I made a commitment to vows for the attainment of enlightenment but it's also the altruistic element. It's about making it available to us'.
