The Metaverse - How Does Government Get Involved?
Government has not been highly involved in regulating new technologies, especially the most transformative ones over the arc of the last century. The meta verse is fundamentally a question about standards and inter operability. In the mid 19 eighties, the us. Government set up what's called the internet engineering task force. That group still defines the standards of the internet to day. And so i certainly understand the distress among regulators and of consumers saying we're moving to a world in which the problems we already can't solve are going to become difficult.
