In Vietnam, you don't really have a choice. You are getting on a scooter, whether you like it or not. Even if you want to go somewhere close by, nobody really uses cars for like their equivalent of Uber there, which is Grab. And the first thing that kind of sold me on this idea of possibly riding a scooter in Vietnam is a everyone wears helmets.
