What Is Your Role as a Sport Psychologist?
Super alite athletes demonstrated a higher need to succeed, more selfishness and ruthlessness with regard to their engagement with sport. Sport held relatively more important than other aspects of life for super alete athletes, but not so much for lit athlete. A lot of these things sound unhealthy. They go against how sport psychologists might approach advice or conversations with coaches. And perhaps if it sits a bit uncomfortable, and yet these these people exist? Well, and i think that's it.
