The Human Brain Is Not That Interested
The ideas that spread most are not those everyone agrees with, but those that divide people. People see them as causes to attack or defend in order to signal their commitment to a tribe. We form these communities on line, which are essentially tribes. And when it comes to information, we often try to use that information in ways that will benefit our tribe - and this is one of the core things behind epistemology. The human brain is interested in creating a sort of image of reality that is in line with evolution.
