The adative model is, strictly speaking, i think we can safely say it's not fully correct. It makes no accommodation for energy compensation. A people with high body fat tend to have a greater degree of compensation. In most cases, on average, we only compensate by about 28%. About 72 % of the salories we add through exercise truly are driving total daily energy expenditure upward.
