In a place like Cuba, where the employee has no choices, there's no capital. If you don't manage your people well, there's nowhere else for them to go and there's no competition anyway. So what I've noticed is that what you do matters. And if you do it more efficiently and in a better way, you'll get rewarded for it. There are opportunities. You can see life and work as levels instead of just a steady plateau.
