It's impossible for all of us if we do not have the experience in the church to have an experience of Christ, he says. The person who sits down and studies Scripture without the experience of the church is still on the level of the horizontal level. And he cannot enter into the life of Christ. Therefore, he cannot really come to know Christ. If we hear all about someone, we might feel like I already knew you, but until we meet them and really experience them, we don't know them, do we? It's a totally different experience.
