Putin's Invasion of Ukraine
In the UK, you can quite easily see a populist far-arch type character popping up and agitating along the lines of why you paying £400 a month for gas to protect these people in a faraway country. I think here, the clarity of what happened, Putin invading an independent Ukraine is so clear and has commanded support across the political spectrum that really there hasn't been space. What form would the populism take at this relatively early phase? If it continues, there may well be space. But if by next winter, it's up again because of shortages and huge demand, I wonder whether the durability will be as great.
