Deconstructing Yourself

CHAPTER

How to Work Through Conflicts That Have Already Started

All conflict is really based on arguing point of views. What helps you kind of get out of arguing about each other's point of view is slowing down and saying what you're saying, but keeping it in what i noticed, what i'm imagining, what i feel and what i'm wanting. That starts to bring in an itou sense of self disclosure and vulnerability. And the more that you do that, ray, the more it implicitly invites the other person to do the same. Even if just one of you does that, at some point the person who's not doing that is going to lose steam, because they need something to push against to keep the dynamic up.
