Tomato Prices Are on the Rise
Heavy grains in carnataca, ander pridesh and maharastra decimated standing crops. Key suppliers during the october to december period have been struggling to keep up with demand. About 20% of all tomatoes post harvest go rotten. Close to a fifth of all tomato produce never gets consumed. Indians eat about forty thousand tons of tomatoes a day.
