i think the uses of reading and rading, first and foremost are for people to be to say to themselves, i am not alone. Because isolation is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, besetting ills of modern life. You know, when you read about something that your mother went through, or your grandmother, and you suddenly realize that it's a cousin or sister to exactly what you're going through, there's something so empowering. I have three children, as you know, yes. My first two children are less than two years apart. Now, i feel you're making me feel a little guilty.
