Is the Central Bank Really Trying to Fight Inflation?
It seems like thei mandate s to actually promote inflation. We had a higher starting point with respect to interest ats. The reason they're hawkish is because they don't want to let long term inflation expectations, ind therefore long term bones, get out of hand. But what they really want to do is boil us in a pot like we're frogs. And so to me, i think inflation is absolutely the goal. They just can't do it as quickly as we they might like,. That's how you would scare ascet marketsand it would be counter productive to the lot of their paus right?
