Ryan: There's two versions of universalism. The softer one posits that all men, all human beings will ultimately be saved. It either denies the existence of hell or denies that hell is an eternal state of being. And maybe the more rigorous version of universalism would posit that not just men, but all rational creatures will ultimately be saving. So we had the only saint that I know of is Saint Gregory of Nisa.
