Is There a Difference Between Suppression of Speech and Cultural Norms?
There has to be some delineation drawn between the sort of suppression of speech via like enshrined laws versus cultural norms or maybe institutional norms that are enforced at those levels. Do you not think that we are allowed to have sort of cultural norms or particular institutional norms like is there is that not like a bit of a moral panic to equate those two? "I might as well go back to where I'm from Austria which eventually birthed this fucking Nazi revolution so you know it's a very dangerous situation"
