What Happened When I Was a Hospice Doctor?

DNR orders became more common. The patients that I was asked to see as an expert hospice doctor changed. So instead of the easier to treat 70 year old or 80 year old dying of a solid tumor, I started seeing a 33 year old woman with metastatic ovarian cancer having something called neuropathic pain. And she has three small children and there's no justice in her death or meaning or sense.
