Just because you're not in the literate culture doesn't mean that we are currently in an oral culture. So people are able to read, but that's not the primary way they're getting content anymore. People will often be divided into one of two groups: book people and nonbook people. Book people own many books, digital or physical nonbook people own few books. Nonbook people prefer listening to words. Book people learn alone.
