Aquinas would also include things like the soul. And that's where he would probably put the study of psychology. So the soul is looking at what are the powers of the human being. Not powers intrinsically of sense so much but also these spiritual powers that we have. Another sort of speculative science abstracts from matter and change or matter and motion. But ultimately the highest science according to Aquinas is the science that abstracts from quantity as well and just considers being to be existence. What is? When you reach that level Aquinas thinks you're acquiring a kind of wisdom that in globes everything because anything that you would study you would study only insofar as it is. It's a
