Glider Warfare in Crete

In Crete, the gliders performed well. The operation as a whole, although it was successful and the Germans managed to take Crete. Massive airborne assaults just don't seem to work. D-Day worked, but the main airborne assault involving the gliders came in at night. Then you look at Arnhem. It's the biggest airborne assault ever in history. And nobody knows about it. When you do the displays, it's all D-Day and Arnhem. And very, very few people are aware of crossing the Rhine in 1945.
