O'Mear and the Oxen
I was most attached to O'Mear. And that's an interesting like statement, in terms of how this book hits you because each of these characters, I like love them and want to give them a hug. The way Dore writes the experience with the oxen as they kind of slowly break down and die is some of the most emotional I've been reading in a long time. You're just so like, honestly, I felt more devastated by that than anything in Blood Meridian.
