As an artist I love a tasteful mismatch as much as anybody else take indie art rockers the flaming lips and their frontman Wayne coin why no it's not just the Technicolor psychedelic menagerie of trippy and strangely soothing blips and boops of their music or even that they do these crazy out of this world circus tent kind of rock shows from another dimension. We don't reject them we lean in like artists know that these mismatches make us lean in and ask why like what is going on here It's just even more interesting when it doesn't add up or you take someone like Robert Smith the frontman from the cure and you're like okay I'm ready to cry except
