"I think he kind of gave the kids permission to be happy. And told them how much he'd want them to thrive and you know kind of. Live their lives so," Bolson said. The former U.S. president, Barack Obama visited David's family after his death last week but has not spoken publicly since then. He also met with Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff during her visit to Rio de Janeiro earlier this month.
