I wrote the song, i don't know, some time after we reconnected. And it was so touching. My stepmam said to my friend, steve brings out the sight of her that she's only ever allowed to live in music. This like, playful, spirited, like funny. I felt so seen by her, honestly, for the first time ti ever touched me so much. But i'm so glad that it's obvious to not just me like that. It's obvious to my family too. Like they see him unlock something in me that i've only ever, like, expressed in my creative pursuit. That's how i know i'm going to love you forever
