There are myths to be debunked about terrorism, writes Tholl. The first myth is that terrorists are pure evil and hate us for our freedom of religion or speech. Terrorist motives include instrumental dominance, slash honor, revenge and ideology. This myth depicts terris as part of a vast global network of centrally controlled conspiracies against the west. Most terrists ar in their late teens or early twenties, especially students and immigrants.
