Anxiety of ceasing to exist as a separate entity is rooted in what buddha would call the ignorance of identification with your somebodiness. One strategy is to play at the edge of the void and feel the fear, sit with the fear and examine the fear - just stay right at the edge. Don't try to beat through the fear. Allow it say, yes, this fear is inhe ant in my separateness. And instead of the fear being the thing that makes the decision as to what i'll do next, i must honour it as honouring my separateness; stilli acknowledge this other part of me.
