Tesla vs Google
The self driving car industry is an equally speculative space. The two big players at the moment are tesla and google. There's a question about engineering ethics, how far can you go in the pursuit of innovation at the expense of public safety? And i think there's another perallel that i'll bring up, which is also another mass of academic literature in the field of machine learning. They've have these massive debates about whether this is an excesential threat to humanity. We could take some action now if we were to go back 20 or 30 years and know what happened with social media.
