Some of my best negotiators were also great detectives. And so there you have the cross over. Whether you're in the interrogation room or you're on the phone with a bad guy, they're responding from an emotional frame of reference. Do you consider it easier or more difficult if it's less emotion? It depends on what your definition of less emotional is. We don't make any decision without going through an emotional filter.
