The Importance of Being a Patient

Atrial fibrillation is an irregular heart rhythm that in my case was very fast. I would have these episodes once, twice, sometimes three times a week and they lasted anywhere between 12 and 24 hours. And so I became a patient, essentially. Whilst he was working, I was seeing cardiologists. I was taking medications. But my threshold for illness is clearly a lot lower than my counterparts.
