The Incestuous Marriage of Agrippina
Agrippina was caught up in a plot to have Caligula assassinated. When Claudius comes into power, he allows her to return to Rome and be reunited with her son. She goes to the Roman circus, and the crowds applaud her and her son more than they applaud Messalina and Britannicus and Messalina. It's pretty annoyed by this. And one of Claudius's freedmen who has been who has been freed reports to him that this has happened. He returns to Rome, and he is advised that Messalina should be killed. But his guards take into their own hands and they snare her to death in a garden.
