The Fed's Commitment to Controling Inflation Continues

I don't think that 25 basis points makes a difference anymore. This is about signaling that they are still committed and this is about making sure that the market does not do any loosening of monetary policy for them, right? We don't want to get stuck in that same issue that we had in the 70s where we haven't quite got our arms around inflation yet and then it starts to move back up. It would really shock the market if they did something different today.
